Frequently asked questions about Walt Disney World Orlando
Tickets & reservations
Yes. You need valid admission to enter a Walt Disney World theme park. Depending on your ticket, you can visit one theme park per day or use the Park Hopper option to visit multiple theme parks on the same day.
The ideal length depends on how many parks and attractions you want to visit. A 1-day visit can focus on one theme park, while 2 days lets you cover two priority parks. With 3–5 days, you can visit all four theme parks at a more comfortable pace, while longer trips allow time for water parks, repeat rides, Disney Springs, and downtime.
A 1 Park Per Day ticket lets you visit one theme park each day of your ticket. A Park Hopper ticket lets you visit more than one Disney theme park on the same day, giving you more flexibility to move between Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Park Hopper Plus includes the ability to visit multiple Disney theme parks on the same day, plus a certain number of visits to eligible water parks or other Disney sports and recreation experiences.
Date-based Disney tickets no longer require a theme park reservation. However, reservations may still be required for certain other admission types, such as Annual Passes and some special ticket categories. Check the requirements that apply to your ticket before visiting.
Yes, if your admission includes the Park Hopper option or another ticket that allows multiple-park access. A standard 1 Park Per Day ticket does not allow you to visit multiple theme parks on the same day.
Multi-day tickets provide a specified number of park admission days within the ticket's valid usage period. The exact validity period depends on the ticket type and terms, so check your ticket details before planning your visit.

Maps & planning your visit
Walt Disney World is spread across a large resort complex, so it helps to use both a resort-wide map and individual maps for Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. These maps can help you locate attractions, facilities, entrances, transportation, and dining areas.
Pandora – The World of Avatar is in the southwestern section of Disney's Animal Kingdom, beyond the Oasis and near the park's central pathways.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is located within Disney's Hollywood Studios. Themed around the planet Batuu, the area includes attractions, dining, shops, and character experiences.
The four theme parks are spread across the Walt Disney World Resort rather than being located next to one another. Travel time depends on the parks involved and the transportation option you choose.
Walking between most Disney theme parks is not practical because of the distances between them. EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios are connected by pedestrian routes, while Disney provides buses, monorails, boats, and the Skyliner for other connections.
Choose one theme park and prioritize the attractions, entertainment, and areas you most want to experience. Arriving early, grouping nearby attractions together, and checking showtimes in advance can help you make better use of your day.
For a 2-day visit, dedicate one day to each of your priority parks if you are using 1 Park Per Day tickets. If you have Park Hopper access, you can combine parks on the same day and build your itinerary around major attractions and entertainment.
Three to four days can give you a way to visit all four theme parks, but a longer stay gives you more time to experience major attractions, shows, dining, and themed areas without rushing.
