Navigating your way around Gatorland

Gatorland sprawls across 110 exciting acres, so a little planning goes a long way in maximizing your gator encounters! Download the park map to navigate the trails and shows. While walking lets you soak in the sights, consider the Gatorland Express Train for a scenic journey through the central park area or the off-road adventure for a thrilling ride, venturing deeper into the park.

Head to the central park area for the iconic shows! For a unique twist, explore the park after dark with the Night Shine Experience. Thrill seekers can soar above the gators on the Screamin' Gator Zipline, located in the east section of the park – book your tickets in advance to avoid missing your slot and avoid coming back to the ticket counter.

Throughout your adventure, numerous food options await. Pearl's Good Eats offers delicious BBQ in the central area, while the Coffee Shop caters to lighter appetites, also conveniently located in the central park area. Beat the Florida heat with a refreshing drink or cool down at the splash park or sprayground, both situated near the central food options.

Venture beyond the gators and discover the Bird Rookery, teeming with herons, egrets, and other native birds nesting in cypress trees, located on the park's west side. The Petting Zoo provides a heartwarming break on the east side, where you can meet friendly goats and sheep.

Before leaving, browse the Gatorland Gift Shop, conveniently located near the park exit, for souvenirs that'll keep your wild day alive!

Visitor tips

  • Florida sunshine can be intense. If possible, plan your visit during the early morning or evening hours to avoid the afternoon heat.
  • Wear lightweight, breathable clothing and comfortable shoes with good tread for uneven paths. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat with you.
  • Gator Gully Splash Park is located on the east side of the park. This splash zone is a perfect way to cool down and have some fun. Bring swimsuits and towels.
  • The Gatorland Express Train near the entrance offers a narrated tour, giving you a great lay of the land and spotting gators from a safe distance. It's perfect for if you’re visiting as a family with young children or if you want to rest your feet.
  • If you’re feeling adventurous, be sure to check out the Screamin’ Gator Zip Line’ ride or the ‘Stompin’ Gator Off-Road Adventure’.
